This Innovation Talk with the title “Trends im Management von EV Fleets” was held by Steffen Krautwasser, Head of Global Car Fleet at SAP.

The focus of this talk was on contemporary trends surrounding Electric Vehicle (EV) fleets within the framework of end-to-end mobility concepts adopted by businesses. Mr. Krautwasser was talking about the management of SAP’s company car fleet of currently more than 29,000 vehicles and the challenge to increase the share of EV’s drastically in the oncoming years, which goes hand in hand with providing charging stations at the office and at home. An emphasis was placed on strategic partnerships, deemed crucial for securing companies as “early customers”. Moreover, the focus on change and communication inside the organization is essential during such a transition. We also learned about the concept of “Flexible Mobility” as an alternative to a company car. Finally, the discussion also encompassed perspectives and insights regarding the role of energy providers in this context.
