Innovation Talk “Artificial Intelligence in the Energy Industry”


This Innovation Talk with the title “Artificial Intelligence in the Energy Industry” was held by Professor Markus Kraft, a Fellow of Churchill College Cambridge and Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.

The focus of this talk was on the decarbonization of energy systems, which is crucial for managing global greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change. Digital technologies, including big data, machine learning, and the Internet of Things, are increasingly recognized for their potential to facilitate the decarbonization process with minimal investment. Orchestrating these innovative technologies can produce synergistic effects that enhance the efficiency of energy systems and industrial production. Professor Kraft introduced ‘The World Avatar’ as a pivotal advancement in the evolution of Digital Twins, showcasing its significant impact across various scales and nations, particularly within the energy sector.
