Innovation Talk “Best Practices in Innovation Hub Management and Strategic Value Chains in the Energy Industry”

This Innovation Talk, titled “Best Practices in Innovation Hub Management and Strategic Value Chains in the Energy Industry” was led by Dr. Markus Forstmeier, Business Development Officer at EIT InnoEnergy.

The talk focused on the energy transition and the role of innovation hubs in fostering cutting-edge products and services that transcend disciplinary and national boundaries. Emphasis was placed on the importance for startups of understanding customer requirements early on to drive impactful and sustainable growth. EIT InnoEnergy, as a European organization with hubs in seven countries, has developed an extensive network to support and accelerate the growth of startups in the renewable energy sector.

In strategic value chains such as green hydrogen, battery storage, and photovoltaic technologies, European companies are involved from the outset as shareholders in new enterprises. This alignment helps streamline interests and ensure economic success. In his insightful presentation, Mr. Forstmeier illustrated how EIT InnoEnergy empowers European startups to secure their first contracts in the DACH region, advancing the generation, storage, and utilization of renewable energy.
