ESTT member N. Hampl held a workshop on “Advanced Demand Modeling for Electromobility” together with colleagues from WU’s Department of Socioeconomics and the Department of Landscape, Spatial and Infrastructure Sciences of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna. Below is the abstract:
The electrification of the transport system is a key factor forreducing CO2 emissions to a level that is compatible with climate stabilization. This 1.5-day workshop aims at advancing the discussion on the transition from fuel-basedmobility to e-mobility from a demand modelling perspective. By bringing togetherdifferent disciplines and modelling approaches, the workshop should yield new insightsand identify synergies between the participants. An essential part of the workshopis to translate these insights and synergies into concrete initiatives for futureresearch collaborations.
