Master Thesis on Key Performance Indicators and Success Factors for Innovation in the Energy Industry

The thesis entitled “Key Performance Indicators and Success Factors for Innovation in the Energy Industry” was just finished under the supervision of ESTT members.

Even despite substantial research in the field, numerous differences across companies, industries and countries do not allow to identify the universal KPIs and success factors for innovation. Therefore, widespread and deep influence of KPIs for innovation and those of the innovation success factors, as well as the absence of an explicit general concept around them, call for an establishment of a more systematic approach to innovation performance measurements and success prerequisites. The main objective of this work is to reduce complexity in the research field by adding a structured overview of the existing research findings related to investigating the KPIs and success factors for innovation. An additional objective is to connect these findings to the European energy industry.
