The second Innovation Talk in 2019 provided an hands-on overview by the renowned scholar A. Gawer on the business of platforms. The talk illustrated how a small number of platform companies have come to exert extraordinary influence over every dimension of our personal, professional, and political lives. Moreover, it was dicussed how platform organizations differ from powerful “traditional” corporations of the past that produce and sell goods. Also insights on how to build platforms were given.
